  1. I have a weird problem with one of my lights - when I switch on my high beam, the LH indicator comes on too (but does not flash).

When I have high beam on and try to use the indicator the LH indicator does not work at all and when I press the hazard flashers with high beam on, the indicator on the LH side flashes together with the high beam but out of cycle with all the other flashers.

The RH side is fine and the anomalies on the LH side only happen when I have high beam engaged.

Any clues? If this is an earth problem how would I go about diagnosis?

Car is late 2000 986S ROW

    Thanks

  2. Yes it's possible. The upper console from 99-01 Carrera is compatible with yours.

I am trying to do the exact same thing and I have (I think) a Savannah upper console from a 99-01 996 - it is in 3 pieces with the 6 switches straight on the side?

I have looked at it and I do not think it will fit my 2000 986S (the one with the switches at 45 degrees). Has anyone actually tried to do this? Thanks

  3. From looking at the connectors on the back of a PCM2 I see no reason why it will not work as a stand alone nav unit/ radio without the MOST optics connected - the speaker connectors, power etc all must be on the ISO connectors and the antenna connectors are on the back.

My question is has anyone actually tried this? I realise that you would not get the directions on the cluster or CDC and phone function but will it still work as a stand alone nav and radio?

Also, does anyone have the pinouts of the ISO connectors and is the speed pulse and night illumination on these?

Are there any other issues with using a non MOST car with this? Mine is a late 2000 986S

If there are issues, has anyone heard of a MOST emulator box like the CAN bus emulators you can get for the Mercedes Comand nav?

    Thanks

  4. For what model year car?

    US/Canada or RoW?

Do want just the unit or the whole install kit?

I have been offererd this PCM2 for sale, he gave me this part number and says it is only for a 996 year 2002 and will not fit any other car but I find it hard to beleive that it would not fit a 986 '03?

It is RoW BTW and is just the PCM2 head unit.
