  1. I have a weird problem with one of my lights - when I switch on my high beam, the LH indicator comes on too (but does not flash). When I have high beam on and try to use the indicator the LH indicator does not work at all and when I press the hazard flashers with high beam on, the indicator on the LH side flashes together with the high beam but out of cycle with all the other flashers. The RH side is fine and the anomalies on the LH side only happen when I have high beam engaged. Any clues? If this is an earth problem how would I go about diagnosis? Car is late 2000 986S ROW Thanks
  2. Forgot to ask for part numbers for these too. ~2001 996 in Savannah beige lacquer finish. Thanks
  3. Anyone have the following part numbers for a ~2001 ROW 996: 2 x demister vents (plastic parts on top dash just behind screen 1 x alarm flasher cover (fits in the middle of above) 2 x side AC vents (air vents at each end of the dash) Must be in Savannah beige and preferably plastic rather than leather. Thanks
  4. Can anyone identify these side skirts and where is the best place I can get them from? Thanks
  5. I am trying to do the exact same thing and I have (I think) a Savannah upper console from a 99-01 996 - it is in 3 pieces with the 6 switches straight on the side? I have looked at it and I do not think it will fit my 2000 986S (the one with the switches at 45 degrees). Has anyone actually tried to do this? Thanks
  6. So does the aerokit 2 spoiler give you that much more downforce than the normal rear spoiler when it is extended?
  7. I would like to know if there is a sound reason for having to use the aerokit front end if I install the aerokit 2 rear spoiler? I know this is not recommended but why? Has anyone had the rear spoiler on their Box without the front spoiler? Thanks
  8. I thought that may be the case. Thanks Loren
  9. The panel on the inside of the door which contains the airbag cover, storage bin, door pull etc. Maybe I should of said door panel...?
  10. Anyone know if the door cards from a 996 are the same as a 986? Thanks
  11. Will the Porsche Sports Exhaust (dual shower head type) fit OK with a '03 style rear fender? If so, anyone got any pics of how it looks with the small rear wings the facelift fender has underneath. Thanks
  12. Sorry I am not referring to the cd but the cd drive unit itself.
  13. I have been offered a 16 bit PCM1 (from MY02 996) with no cd-rom. Does anyone know if you can still get the cd-rom, how much it might cost and can you use any other make of cd-rom with this system? Thanks
  14. Anyone know if the interior centre air vent (the one with the buttons on the side) of a facelift 986 or 996 will fit in a pre facelift 986? It looks like it will but has anyone tried this?
  15. Do you know if this would work in a non-MOST car like a late 2000 986S? Do you also know the differences between PCM 1 and 1.5? Sorry to be a pain..
  16. Thanks for the information - so is 996 642 944 00 EWD a PCM1 unit? I was under the impression that it was a PCM2 with the CD slot.
  17. From looking at the connectors on the back of a PCM2 I see no reason why it will not work as a stand alone nav unit/ radio without the MOST optics connected - the speaker connectors, power etc all must be on the ISO connectors and the antenna connectors are on the back. My question is has anyone actually tried this? I realise that you would not get the directions on the cluster or CDC and phone function but will it still work as a stand alone nav and radio? Also, does anyone have the pinouts of the ISO connectors and is the speed pulse and night illumination on these? Are there any other issues with using a non MOST car with this? Mine is a late 2000 986S If there are issues, has anyone heard of a MOST emulator box like the CAN bus emulators you can get for the Mercedes Comand nav? Thanks
  18. I have been offererd this PCM2 for sale, he gave me this part number and says it is only for a 996 year 2002 and will not fit any other car but I find it hard to beleive that it would not fit a 986 '03? It is RoW BTW and is just the PCM2 head unit.
  19. Can someone please confirm which version of pcm2 is this part number: 996 642 944 EWD Thanks
