  1. Thanks for all the replies. My car is a 2001 Carrera 4. Maybe I need to be a little clearer about the issue. After changing the battery I went through the usual setting the clock, re-tuning the infotainment system and set about re-setting the window memory. I started with the passenger window and all went 100% as expected. However, when I tried to go through the same process with the drivers window... nothing, zero response from the switch. So no up or down movement at all with the window switch, nor when either of the handles is operated. If I listen very closely there is a faint click when I operate the switch. It is as if the window is stuck. I have replaced, over the years and various 996, 986, 986, 987 window regulators and all of them groaned or moaned before giving up the ghost. Nothing like this has happened and it does seem very coincidental that it should happen immediately after renewing the battery with no precursors. Any ideas?
  2. I wonder if anyone has any advice or perhaps has had this experience themselves and solved it! After fitting a new battery my drivers door window is not functioning at all. The passenger window is perfect, but the drivers will not operate or drop/raise when the handles are pulled. I can hear a faint click when operating the switch, but absolutely no fresh air facilitation from the glass http://911uk.com/images/smiles/dontknow.gif Any advice that would avoid an unnecessary strip down of the door would be greatly appreciated. http://911uk.com/images/smiles/thumb.gif
