  1. problem fixed. here is the story... first guy to help me was my mechanic friend. he told me that he had no idea about porsches but wanted to take a look. he couldn't solve the problem. second guy I went to was a porsche mechanic! he is a club member and goes to track racing etc and uses racing knowledge on his shop while fixing cars etc. His rate was $140/hr. He said he checked the module, bulbs, fuses and wiring and all were good. He called to ask if he could continue working to investigate where the problem was. He wanted to remove the dashboard to reach another module that is located behind the steering wheel somewhere.... I said I need the car tonight.. just wrap it up and we ll continue another day. I was going to pay him but he wanted to take the money at the end once the problem was solved. I took my CTT and drove to Porsche service. I was ok with $500+ invoice and some serious module or wiring or some type of computer problem. Guess what... one of the sockets was rusted and needed to be cleaned. And I had a blown fuse. They fixed it in half an hr. (probably 10-15mins) and charged me $90. This amount is too much for little cleaning and changing the dead fuse but I am happy to have my both xenons and cornering lights working.
  2. I am having the same problem on my 04 TT. The right one was blinking, finally it died. Thinking its the Xenon bulb I replaced it but didn't help at all. I thought the bulb was no good and replaced with another new bulb but still the same. While playing with those my cornering lights stopped working. I checked all 5 bulbs and fuses, they are all good. I talked to someone and I was told weak battery causes these kind of problems but why only on the right side (tho cornering on left stopped also). And some say I need to change the module. Anyways... I am taking it to a shop tomorrow. We will see the problem and the damage ($)....
  3. I didn't know that... Car is new to me. I am not sure about the battery, I will get it checked. I am getting 'check dipped beam' message and nothing else at the moment. Thanks
  4. There is a posting here (under DIY I think) showing how to change the front bumper to an 08.
  5. I checked the socket no corrosion. I have xenon bulbs. I changed only the bulbs but not the Module! But the thing is as far as I know that module controls lot of other things too. In my case only the xenon causes a problem. Parking lights, signals lights, high beams work. Turning lights were also working but now stopped when I took it off and played with it while changing the bulb. Even wipers stopped working than they came back now. I dunno, its little weird.
  6. My 04 Cayenne Turbo came with no navigation dvd's from its previous owner. Dealer asks $400+ and I found some online/ebay for lot less but I am not sure if they the ones I need. Almost all of the sellers donot accept returns and I don't want to make mistake. I think there are two versions, 03 and 08, am I right? And what are the part numbers? Are you guys happy with your nav? I had a 05 Cayenne V6 and sold it within a month cause the engine was slow for the body. I used the nav little bit it wasn't user friendly at all compare to Garmin and Magellan's handheld devices I have used. Thanks
  7. I have an 04 Cayenne Turbo. One of the headlight bulb's color turned into yellow vs bright white (some call blue) and than it went off totally. I took it to my mechanic, he changed both bulb with brand new xenon ones (so that they match) but the problem headlight still wouldn't work. He than chacked all fuses and changed the bulbs again thinking replacement bulb maynot be good. But still nothing... He says there is a module between the fuse and the bulb, and module might be causing the problem. Anyone had a problem like this or do you know what might be the solution and cost? Thanks
