  1. Stock mass airflow sensor went bad,i asked my porsche only repair shop to install the up grade sensor. This is for a 2000 s.The up grade sensor requires a flash. When the sensor was installed and flashed, the car ran unbelieveable,I drove the car about 70 and stopped for gas {sunoco ultra} I drove the car another 30 miles and it started running like junk. When I got home I called the owner of the shop,I asked him about the gas, thinking there was water in it.After my conversation with him I disconnected the wiring to the sensor leaving the sensor in.We replaced the sensor again with the same upgraded part, numbers on the bosch box matched.Same thing happend, ran great then junk by the time I reached home. After the owner and I did alot of research,we both recieved the same info.According to bosch the part numbers for the stock part and the upgrade part are one in the same??????? Bosch also told us that 99% of the parts companies out there dont know about this and they think they are selling the upgrade part according to their reference sheets from bosch, bosch also told us both that there is a upgrade part and the numbers are 1 number different and this part is only avaliable from a porsche dealership only and no where else.Does any one out there know of a way around this, besides paying 500 and change and the dealerships hourly rate.It seems to me that bosch and porsche are trying to keep the part in house and in house installation.Again help is there any one out there that knows of another company that sells a upgrade sensor and can someone also explain to me why bosch would sell wholesale/retail parts dealers a false part.I consider my self a smart person like most of the people on this site and still dont or should I say want to understand why bosch would do such a thing to their parts distributors and customers. Also if i would to by a flash kit from evo or softronics will there be a problem or any other performance parts, plenum, throttle body, cold air box exaust system etc
