Im picking up my 99 996 on friday and i want to install the aftermarket head unit the next day. I have an alpine iva-d310 and was wondering if i could just hook that up to the factory system in my 99' 996. I plan on installing my amps and stuff later on but i just want the use of my cd/dvd/ipod etc.... for right away. Does it just install with a vw harness? or am i better off just waiting to change out everything? ive tried searching and i couldnt find anything. Thanks for your help in advance!

I just put down a depost it on a what seems to be a very rare bluish purple/ gray 99 996 with areo kit, 48371 miles, it is in very good condition in and out. Definately has an intake ( stock air box is not there) and the exhaust sounds modified and the tips look different then the factory unless this comes with the areo kit?? Is there anything particular that i should look for that could go wrong? I am buying it from a used car dealer that does alot of high end vehicles. Should i buy a warranty?? They give a 90 day warranty for the car. Thanks for your help in advance! Here is a picture of the car.
