  1. did you get it done at the dealer? was it a re-built tranny? are they availible new?
  2. i have a 1999 996 c2 coupe that has started making a clicking noise in first gear at low rpm, (1000-2000) when lightly applying the throttle. it stops when you push in the clutch, and is only apperent in first gear. my mechanic and a second opinion both suggested to continue driving until it fails as pulling it apart now may not be worth the time as parts are not always readily available. in most cases the entire transmission requires replacement. anyone experience the same thing? 1. do they make new transmissions for sale? 2. if they do is it worth it to get a new one? 3. do they sell gear boxes separately? 4. how available are the parts? :renntech:
  3. ive recently purchased a 1999 996 c 2 coupe. it came with the leather sport seats, however im looking to replace them as the vehicle has 100k and the seats are quite worn. i badly want to stay with the sport seats as they are comfortable and look sharp, they are also heated. im wondering if i can get a sport seat that is full position power (all direction), heated, and has memory for my model year of car.
