Please HELP... I recently purchased an aftermarket HID conversion kit from VERTEXAUTO (an aftermarket Porsche parts company) for my 99 C4 and was installing it when I ran into a problem. I was following the installation instructions which indicated the lower bulb was the LOW beam. After hooking up the ballast and remaining assembly, nothing happened. I pulled out my manual and it indicated the top bulb was the LOW beam. I switched it around and the HID bulb worked perfectly. Then I discovered a problem. My FOG, HIGH, and PARKING bulbs (all of which run off the wiring harness that I initially hooked everything up to) were barely illuminating. I fear I may have burned up the wiring harness within the headlight assembly when I hooked up the ballast/igniter to the incorrect wiring harness. Does anyone know what might be going on here?? I removed the HID kit and reinstalled the original bulbs. LOW beams and turn signals work perfectly, but the HIGH, FOG, and PARKING bulbs barely illuminate on the headlight that I initially hooked up incorrectly. The other headlight still functions correctly so I don't believe it to be a fuse. Any suggestions?? Thanks.

This question is a little on/off the subject... I just finished up pulling my cluster out to investigate a backlight bulb. Sure enough it was bad. I figure that is an easy enough fix. However, while waiting for the new bulb to arrive, I put everything back together. At this point I noticed my ashtray light was out. It may have been before, but I'm not sure. I happened to have an extra one so I swaped it out. No luck. So I started to look around. Also noticed my cigarette lighter surround light is not working. I can only assume that they are directly related to the removal of the cluster backlight. Does anyone know if this is the case. Obviously I will find out when I put the new bulb in, but if I have to get parts, I would like to do it in one trip. As much as I enjoy going to the dealership, it is over an hour away. Thanks for the help...

I have recently purchased a used Boxster headliner off of ebay. Not thinking, I figured it was simply an option the original owner had opted not to pay for on my 98 Boxster. Well, to my surprise it does not fit in the early models without modifications. I have seen a few posts on this subject and was wondering if anyone has actually fitted their early model Boxster with an OEM headliner. If so, please fill me in on the parts needed and the installation procedure. Thanks for any help anyone can offer.....
