  1. Hey all, I would like to put in the Pioneer Avic D1 into my car, but I know that the MOST system is the MOST annoying sound system to deal with. What is involved to put the Avic D1 in my car? Do I have to replace all speakers, amps wiring ETC? or is it simpler than that. Thanks for your help
  2. Does anyone know how to hard wire the magellan? All I have is the cigarette lighter adaptor
  3. Can Someone please tell me how I can remove the cubbies, radio, AC controls and batwing from the Center stack, I would greatly apprecite it. By the way if its possible I want to hardwire my Magellan Roadmate 500 for power and audio. What materials do I need for power and where do I get it from. ( I already hardwired my V1)
  4. Hello, I would like to first thank you for all the help you guys have been for my miscallanious and obscure questions now and then. If you dont mind I have a new project that I would like to begin and I would like your input. My 2003 996 is midnight blue with savanna beige interior (not full or supple). I would like to cover the carpet on the doors in beige Alcantera (ultra suede), I would also like to cover the instrument panel in the same color and the center console as well. My questiuons are: Am I undertaking too much? will it be too hard? Since I have never modified an Interior what adhesives do I apply to the back of the Alcantera to make it stick in place? do I have to take the old vinyl pieces off before I install the new material? how much material do I need (it is sold by the yard) Thanks
  5. Please, If someone can help, I have a 2003 996 (narrow body) I am looking to put the new style side skirts on my car (I think GT2) but I am not sure. If some one can post a pic of these with part numbers that would really help. I am afraid of getting the side skirts that were for the 99-02 model years, I dont want those.
  6. Thanks for your help, I appreciate it. But is there anything in particular to look for in terms of being defective or broken on the mufflers?
  7. I was planning on installing just the mufflers
  8. Loren, Question for you. If I am buying a PSE from someone that had it installed on thier car,as a factory option is there anything I need to look for in terms of being broken or not working properly. Secondly, is there any special procedure for taking the PSE off of the first car? Thirdly, is it possible to remove the PSE with its valves closed and install it with its valves closed, or do the valves open up every time the car is shut off? I would appreciate any help you can offer, thanks!
