  1. My passenger side cat is gone and I'll be replacing. My research has lead me to the following from FVD (I'm told M&M manufacture these):

996 Sport Catalytic set (200 cell) X-Design OBD-221011122 210 111 22 $2,175.43 Add to cart 200 Cell German HJS Sport Catalysts with ?X Torque? design made by M&M in Germany. The "X torque" design in is a ... more info

Does anyone have any experience with exhaust components purchased through PVD? What replacement Cats have others used/liked?

  2. I just finished my first oil service and had the LN Spin-on Oil Filter Adapter and Win/NAPA Gold synthetic filter installed. I stayed with OEM oil (MobilOne 0-40).

I was delighted to hear there weren't and "nasties" in my old filter.

I had the work done at Chris's German Auto in Bellevue. They seemed great to work with; so willing to answer questions and just spend time discussing points of interest on performance improvements and alike.

  3. I have a 02C4 Cab. The car has the phone mount option with a piece that is attached on the passenger side of the tray/CD holder. It makes a few too many squeaks and rattles and I'd like to remove and replace with whatever the stock cover plate that would go in that area instead.

I also need to replace a the passenger side cover that goes in the rear deck to cover the rollover protection. I must have gotten it loose somehow and it blew off on the road and i can't find. Would anyone have a part number for that as well?

  4. I watched the video ... a lot of good techniques regardless of the product manufacturer ... now I want a steamer ...

I did try Wolfgang's "Leather Care Cleaner" and "Cockpit Trim Sealant;" and I got incredible results. I've completed the dash, door panels and rear seats so far. The cleaner is easy to use and has a really pleasant smell. I used the soft brush technique I saw in the video Jason referenced above on the rear seats. I followed up with the cock pit trim and I was amazed. The surfaces look new, dry and uniform across all surfaces. I'll need to see how the surface treatments hold up over time.

In comparing with Lexol's cleaner and leather treatment I felt the Wolfgang system is easier to use, provided a deeper clean and left the surfaces looking drier, more showroom like, in my side by side comparison to Lexol. I've always used Lexol and it's proved to be a good choice over time, if the Wolfgang product holds up then I'll make a switch.

I still want to try some of the other recommendations, especially the 303 series as the cost seems much lower than Wolfgang for like items in general.

  5. I'm looking for recommendations on products to clean and protect the non-leather surfaces of the interior. I'm not really a fan of Armorall but in fairness, I haven't used their products in the past 10 years.

I use Lexol Cleaner and Conditioner on the leather and I'm reasonably happy with the results. Any recommendations on detailing the leather are welcome as well.
