Searching for a tutorial and / or reference guide for changing oil on a 2014 T Cab. With top partially open one needs to reach in between the spoiler and the body panel that raises / lowers with the cab top. Quite a contortionist move!
Am considering installation of the "Sport upgrade" on an '08 Turbo; car is manual without Sport Chrono (which I had on an '06 4S). Questions related to dealer installation of Sport feature: 1. Is lap timing made available in the PCM even thought the dash "hump clock" is not present? 2. Does the PCM display beyond 14 psi boost? Thank you!
2006 997 S Cab 16,000 miles. Six speed with sport suspension, sport exhaust, short shifter etc. Exhaust rattle from right (passenger) side of car at idle and low RPM - sounds exactly like a loose heat shield. Mechanic and I inspected car on hoist; heat shield not loose and no apparent defects in muffler. As a test, we inserted a pry bar into the tail pipe, lifted up and the rattling sound went away. As a short term fix, we inserted a bolt between the muffler pipe and cat effectively raising the muffler about 3/8 of an inch but rattling noise returned but not as bad. Also, right muffler is the one that is activated by the sport suspension to create a deeper tone - we removed the switch inside the engine bay but that made no difference - rattle was still apparent. My thinking is it the bracket that attaches to the muffler which in turn is mounted to the body. Thoughts and thank you in advance!
Hi, I installed a Gateway 500 on a Cayenne S and a Gateway Lite on my Boxster S. In both cases, I connected to the MOST system by pulling out the head unit (in the case of the Boxster the CDR24). For the Cayenne, the dealer had to program the head unit to recognize an external CD player. You must power the unit from the head unit so that the Dension receives constant power.
2008 Boxster RS60 Spyder with CDR24 and Bose. USA. Last owner spliced the antenna cable,,,and now it has busted as I attempted to install a Dension Gateway Lite. I need to replace the antenna cable from the CDR24 to the antenna control unit. Does anyone know where the antenna control unit is located and how to gain access to it? Looked under the cowl but I do not see an antenna lead coming out of the cabin nor do I see any sort of control unit in the center of the cowl. This is a 987 with Bose - could it be located elsewhere? From the diagrams I have, it appears the antenna controls feeds two antennas located in the inner right and left window pillar. Any suggestions?
