    The mysterious red warning lights do indeed attach to a radar detector. While I have not searched for the unit itself, I did find the radar antenna attached inside the front bumper. Thank you all for your input. Mystery solved.

    It was a burned out bulb which I was able to replace in about 10 minutes. Thank you all for your willingness to help.

    Turned out the problem was the amp and not the CDR23. I bought and installed a refurbished amp and installed it and my problem was solved. Thank you all for your suggestions.
