  1. Fantastic write up. I was able to change my battery this morning in about 45 minutes thanks to this!!! No issues whatsoever except a light failure warning upon first start. I figured it would go away once I drove it and it built up a charge. The error is gone and I saved a bunch of dough. I have a 2009 CTTS and bought a duralast gold h9 battery from autozone for 189.99! Thanks again!
  2. Thx! I did see this tutorial but I wasn't sure if there was anything different for a 957 vs a 955.
  3. For a 957 Turbo S can u just drop the new battery in there or does something need to be done with durametric

  5. installed the spacers tonight. Pretty easy job, a little longer than 2 hrs. I ended up purchasing 15mm for the front and 20mm for the rear. I think it's perfect and I like the more aggressive stance. But it's not too obnoxious and it is very discreet. Good news is I got the calipers very clean while I had the wheels off. Bad news is that I'm gonna need pads very soon! Very happy with ECS tuning!
  6. Does anyone have access to this? Considering trading my 2009 cayenne TTS for a 2014 GTS and want to try to see what options were available to build my wish list. Thanks!
  7. Have a really stupid question. If an electrical part has failed, should it be assumed that a code will exist in the system? It is a hard and fast rule? For example, my auto headlight sensor. I've noticed many times now that the headlights will come on in the bright sunlight when they shouldn't. This happens intermittently (and no my DRLs are not set to "on"). So will a code show up? If not, does it have to wait till complete failure? If no code is thrown, will a technician simply report that the fault cannot be replicated? I have another issue with my compass not being displayed about 1/2 the time and the dealer usually responds that they cannot diagnose. Any help and insight would be appreciated!
  8. I don't believe so. They checked for fault codes. Is that the terminology that I need to use with the service advisor? Anything more specific? Thx!
  9. Having a problem that the dealer cannot diagnose or correct. My dash compass intermittently fails to display in the instrument cluster. It is completely random and sometimes comes on at startup and other times does not. Any ideas? Thanks!
  10. Thought I'd share a couple of pics! Pretty cool how the ice and snow built up in the wheel!
  11. My car exhibited this also. But when I had the fabspeed xpipe installed, it went away!!! No clue as to why???
  12. wanted to cross reference this post on rennlist.com. Does anyone have any insight as to what is causing this transmission behavior? Is it normal, and if not, what is the remedy? Thanks! http://rennlist.com/forums/porsche-cayenne-forum/759545-6-1-2-speed-09-cayenne.html
  13. The interior is black. Not only do we have 3 black cars but each interior is also black!!!,
  14. In my former life I had a 996 C2 and have missed her ever since I got rid of her. Yesterday I pulled the trigger on a 2011 997.2 C2S Certified vehicle with 33k miles on the clock. Absolutely in love! Here are pics of the stable!

  16. Just got the secondary bypass pipes installed on my 09 CTTS this week. Let me say that there is a marked improvement over the entire RPM range. It is definitely jumpier and they reduce turbo lag immensely. The sound is also improved. You can definitely tell from the inside (you do have to listen carefully though), but from the outside, it's amazing. Cold startup is twice as loud and during takeoff it is much more aggressive from the outside. My wife was driving and I was following her in her GL and it sounded SO much better. I'm very happy with this mod and would recommend to anyone looking to improve overall drivability as well as much improved sound!!!
  17. Hi everyone! Recently noticed that my compass has started to go blank on my ctts 09. Sometimes it appears and sometimes it doesn't. Is this simply a compass issue or is it indicative of an instrument cluster failure? Oh, and tomorrow it goes in for secondary cat bypass pipes!!! Can't wait!!!
  18. Finished my install today. Purchased the euro bracket from suncoast and the plate from customeuropeanplates.com. Just wanted to share!
  19. So I get back to Memphis with my wife's new used gl 550. Pick up the kids and the younger one throws up all over the back seat and on the rear controls and cupholder. Does anyone know how to remove the cupholder to get to all the nooks and crannies??? Thanks!
