  1. Yes this happened to me. Assuming that your nozzle isn't clogged, it may be that the line to the nozzle has become disconnected. That's what happened to me. Look at this link.   3. hey all! 2009 CTTS. Over the last 2 days, I had to get my Cayenne jumpstarted on 2 separate occasions. Car starts up fine. Made 2 small trips, approx. 3 to 5 miles round trip. Next time i tried to start, just a click. Used jumper cables to jumpstart. Attached is my Durametric report. I just replaced the battery 2 years ago (25,000 miles ago) with a Duralast Gold H9-DLG. Been watching my volts via my Passport radar detector, and they start low and after driving for a few minutes, they are usually above 13.1. I've read tons of articles, and to be honest, I get confused with electricity, current, amps, etc, etc. Got it charging on my CTEK all night, so maybe that will help. I assume that if the volts are creeping up while driving, then the alternator should be fine? And that the battery may be bad. It has a 5 year warranty, so I may just go through the whole process of removing the thing and taking to my local autozone. Any thoughts or things i could look for to narrow down the focus? Thanks!   4. OK, I've been doing extensive research on this issue. I've contacted ECS, Pelican, Suncoast, etc to figure out where the magnetic field sensor is on my car. No one seemed to know. My dealer said they would get back to me, but never heard back from them. If you look at the parts diagrams, it's not clear where it is. But here is what I think is the issue. I looked at the order guide for the 2009 Turbo S. In the listing of the options, the compass module is an OPTION only for those cars without PCM 3.0. It clearly lists it as a conflict to the PCM 3.0 option. So this leads me to believe that if an 09 or 10 has the PCM, there is not a separate compass module. The 2008, i believe, has the PCM 2.1 as an option, even though it's considered a 957. So on this model, even if it has PCM 2.1, there is still a compass option. I believe that somehow the PCM on the 09s and 10s feeds the instrument cluster with the compass feed. So I've concluded that there must be an issue within my PCM (or the wiring) that sends the info. Most of us obviously do not have a PIWIS readily available, so i don't know what I can do from here. Been toying with getting a map upgrade so I can update my 1.40 software, but have read mixed things about the upside vs downside of doing this upgrade, as it could create more problems. And it begs the question as to why I even have a fuse in the 36 spot stated above. Frustrating.
  5. So this did not work. It's continuing to disappear at random times. Anyone having this same issue? Where is the magnetic field sensor in a 957?!?!?!?!
  6. Where is it located in the 957 CTTS? I looked under the rear seat and it's not there like the 955. In the parts diagrams it is not clear where it is located. Under my rear seat is the chassis leveling module.
  7. Ordered these from schnellperformance.com. However for whatever reason, it was fulfilled by vertex auto? Anyway the install took a couple of days, as the hardware supplied with the kit was junk. The screws were way too short so I had to go to Lowe's and buy some replacement hardware. Used my drill and dremel to drill the holes in the pedals, but overall I'm satisfied with the way they look.
  8. 2009 Cayenne Turbo S Ok. Here's what has been my issue. At completely random times after startup, the compass display next to the left of the on board computer would be blank. Everything on PCM 3.0 would be fine. So I tried to look under the rear right seat where the compass module was supposed to reside. All I could find though was a silver colored box that was confirmed to be the pdcc regulator. So I looked at the fuses and found fuse 36 in the right hand fuse box. It's a 5A fuse and the description is "roof module, telephone, compass." Just for the heck of it I pulled the fuse to see what would happen. All I can tell is ever since I have done that, my compass has been showing up every single time, and I have has no loss of functionality with the roof console and/or phone. NO clue why this might be the solution, but the dealer replaced the instrument cluster about a year ago to fix the problem, but to no avail. I wonder what this fuse is for and if it was causing another module to interfere with the dash display?
  9. When is it permissible to use the jack points that are under these covers? I can't find any info on it.   10. sport mode and psm off. that will give you a good start. as far as exhaust, replace the secondary cats with bypass pipes. Makes it sound better and reduces a little weight
  11. I had similar oil residue under the engine too. My local dealer somehow ignored it when doing the last service. I noticed it when removing the lower engine cover to change the diff fluid. So I took to my Indy and they diagnosed both upper and lower oil pan gaskets. Extended warranty covered it to the tune of $2500!!!!
  12. Cross posted on rennlist and 6speed. hello everyone. Did the front brakes today and switched out from Hawk Ceramic to Pagid RS29 Yellow to prepare for my next track day. Great fit and fantastic feel. So much better than the Hawks, but I know they will be noisy soon. The Hawks were really "squishy" feeling. The Pagids have that great initial bite and solid pedal feel. Tried to do the rears, but I found that the recommended pads did not fit. Clearly from all the literature it states that the 8006 is the pad to buy. However, my calipers are the ones that you don't have to remove to get to the pads. So it seems like I need the 2405 pad instead. Anyone else have the same issue? Thanks in advance.

  14. Hey all, been trying to find the holy grail of aftermarket front rotors. Doesn't exist for us. The closest I found was some 380mm x 38mm rotors at ECS tuning, but they are for audi and therefore do not have the correct bolt pattern or hub size. I emailed ECS to see if they were planning to make an aftermarket part and they responded: Hello, Unfortunately at this time we do not have any info on a kit for your car. But if you get enough people interested in it and get them to start emailing our customerservice@ecstuning.com, That would def help get our R&D team to see what people are wanting us to develop. Please let me know if there is anything else I can help you with. Thanks for choosing ECS! Please email them and express your interest. We may all be able to save a lot of $$$ if they could produce something for us. Thanks!
  15. got the attached codes tonight. The CEL came on today and I assume that its the first engine running lean code. But what does it tell me? Also on the other codes, it shows errors, but there is no additional information that further explains the issues. Can anyone help? Thanks in advance! Attached Images
  16. No affiliation whatsoever, but thought I would share my recent experience with having to replace 2 of my front tires. My front and rears were at different mileage intervals due to having replaced 2 tires during last winters weather. As a result the fronts were toast and the newer ones are at about 60%. I didn't want to replace all 4, b/c the 2 rears were perfectly good. So I hit ebay to look for 2 p zeros that were used. Found Nationwide tires out of Florida. Got each tire for $100 ea including shipping. The tires got to me in Memphis within 3 days and they were exactly as described. No patches and late DOT production. Took to firestone this morning and they mounted they for 88 bucks. I have the lifetime alignment and balance, so I was good to go. I know firestone is hit or miss on this forum, but I have had good luck with one local shop. This saved me from having to replace all 4 tires or at worst having to buy 2 new tires and put me in the same predicament down the road. Now I can evenly wear down all 4 and replace with Continental Extremecontact DWS when the time comes!!   17. see attached. Showing faults on my 2009 cayenne turbo s. But no additional info. I've tried to clear these, but they keep coming back. How do I know what they are indicating? Thanks! These are not actually codes, but an indication that something is not right, possibly in th elecrical system. I would check the alternator voltages at idle, and consider load testing the battery (s).
  18. Ok, I'm the biggest moron ever. While pondering all night and all morning, I walked around the car and took a look at the rear left. When I started this project, I decided to loosen the lugs on BOTH rear wheels and I totally forgot about the left wheel. I torqued up the lugs and all the vibration/thumping is gone. Thanks to all who stepped up immediately to help out!!
  19. So I set out to do my own brakes. Fronts were so easy. The rears have been less so. I have diligently been following the online DIY posts for the 955/957. My rear calipers on the 957 CTTS however are not the type where u can remove the pads from the top. So I have to take the caliper off and remove them that way. After I removed the right rear caliper I realized that the new pads I had were incorrect. So I had to reassemble everything and now I'm getting this horrible vibration sound from the right rear. Anyone know what it could be? Do u think I damaged something? I even tried disassembling everything again and reassembling everything to no avail. Pls help. Anyone!!
