Thanks Loren, I have seen some other blogs where they were able to get the code # with just the serial # on the radio, so I am hoping someone else may be able to help. I appreciate you looking into this for me.
Does anyone else out there have a way to get the code for my CD-2 radio, using the serial # from the radio?
Thanks.

Hi Loren, thanks for the email. I had the radio removed at a repair shop to get the serial # and they re-installed it after they got the serial # for me, so I unfortunately don't have a photo that I can take of the unit. I do note however that the first line of the serial number, if you include the hyphen, has 14 digits. Will that work?
Thanks Loren, I really appreciate your efforts.

Hi Loren, thanks for your email. My understanding is that the radio is manufactured by Alpine.
Any help you can provide is greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

Hi, I have a 1991 Porsche 928 GT with a Porsche CD-2 radio cd player, which I understand was made by Alpine. The battery was disconneted and now the radio display says "Code" but I can't seem to find the code for it. I know I need a 5 digit number to enter as the code. Can anyone help me with getting the code for my radio. The serial number for the radio is:
PO CD-2 A08 14992
B 0 08 14992B
Any help anyone can provide is appreciated.
I tried the Porsche dealer but they said they no longer have codes for older radio cd players.
