  1. Hi, I own a 2003 X50. Some say that the 2005 turbo S has the same power output as the mkII gt2 483bhp (but they still don't have the same clutch and transmission right ?). Since the engine of the 2003 x50 shoud be the same as the turbo S, is it possible the flash the ecu with the Gt2 file to get those 33 missing bhp ? Thank you.
  2. Thank you for your answer. As It's clearly impossible to access the underlaying part of the front compartment the only thing I can do is let drop some paint in the spare tire mounting hole... :-(
  3. Hi, I know that you will think that I'm crazy but I don't care... I can't help it... I hate rust and it's my biggest fear. When I removed the spare tire of my TT, I noticed that the screw that was maintaining it sratched the part of the body (is it the body ???) that you can see through the hole (the screw was tightened very strongly and it was touching the bottom). Can it rust down there ? What kind of metal is it made of ? Please excuse my horrible way of speaking and writing. Cheers from Switzerland.
  4. Hi, I's just curious... does the c4s aerokit rear spoiler fit the 996 TT ?
  5. Thank you very much RFM... I see the mufflers direct line but what grey valve (Electrovalve ???) ?? Could you please show me on the pict ?
  6. I don't get it. Isn't the factory-like PSE approved by authorities in Switzerland? I was at the TÜV here in Germany last week and when they fired up my car those engineers started laughing. They think it's funny that the PSE is legal but never really questioned the fact. I didn't even bother to switch on the speed cut-out since they don't testdrive it. Thorsten It SHOULD be...well it's a bit risky on a car that does not have factory installed PSE (furthermore on a 3.4). Someone had to remove his exhaust after a db level test... they do what they want at the SAN (TUV)...
  7. Hi, I own a 996 C2 3.4 with PSE installed also with the electical part (switch and so on...). I tried to invert the check valve but it doesn't work (the PSE is always ON)... :( Please help me... I live in Switzerland and I have a technical control at the SAN (DMV for you ???) this week... The car is very loud with PSE mode ON... so I have to start the car with PSE OFF.
  8. Thank you Loren, but I would prefer not to cut anything... is there an adapter (VW or Audi, etc...) ?
  9. Hi, I know this topic has been treated many times... sorry in advance but I did not found any answer to my 2 questions. I wanted to replace my old Becker cr21 with an Alpine 9881 but when I removed the Becker... what a surprise with the non ISO wiring (yellow connector). - How to go from this : to this : ? - What are those two cables (brown and blue) on the becker chassis ?
  10. Thank you Loren !!! Well i wanted to paint the back of the seat and remove the map pocket but with those hooks... it will be ugly ! :P
  11. Hi, Could somebody tell me how to remove the map pocket: Thank you
  12. Thank you Kim I will check tomorrow ! Tell me if I am wrong but I dont think it is the connection between the dash switch and the relay as I doesn't even get quiet between 29 and 45 mph... Another thing is all was working perfectly... I don't think it's a short circuit as it happened 3 hours later ? Maybe it's the relay itself ?
  13. Ok... I tested the 2 switches... everything was working perfectly, i was happy... and 3 hours later... nothing was working anymore... The switch on the dash still has the light working but the car is always loud... There is no vaccum leak. How to get the car quiet (is there a temporary solution as I use the car in town) ? What do I have to test ?
