  1. I just put in a call to the guy who I ordered my clutch from. He stated that sach's only sells the most current model of the clutch and the one for my 99 would in fact be the same as the one for the 02-on etc. As they only would go with the latest model and not continue to produce an older model etc. Whew-
  2. what is the difference on the pressure plate? I just ordered a sach's replacement clutch and told him it was for a 99. When you are talking about the other part - driven disc or whatever do you mean the clutch disc? If both of those are different then I believe I should ask for a set for the my02 and up? Let me know asap as I need to stop the order before it's shipped if so. Thanks. Regarding the rev thing. I would think that you wouldn't have to rev it as much to get it off the line as there is less drag on the reciprocating assembly.
  3. Cool. Well at rest or during nromal driving it does seem to run hotter than normal, and I do think it is indicative of a flush needed and or residual air that I am unable to get out. I will run it by the dealer along with a few other things when my clutch and flywheel go in. :)
  4. I would agree with the Eric thread as they are nice and painted the finish from performance is less than perfect for sure-
  5. Ah you had to rub it in didn't you? The first install hoses were on wrong sides. Second install proper sides. Third install Hey, I figured out that I had swapped the wrong hose on the drivers side! Doh!
  6. I have noticed that my car still runs hot even though I added two bottles of redline water wetter and dropped the concentration to about 50%. I think that my cooling system needs to be flushed or something and am debating doing this soon. Any thoughts? My car at rest will sit at the middle zero. It never sits at 180 no matter what temp. It is better than before but I still think that it is not 100%. Are there any flushing cleaners that are aluminium friendly that anyone has used? I have flushed other cars before but they were cast iron blocks etc, so it was not a big deal. What does Porsche use? I also read another post about this which said that the techs, when they do this, use a special tool and disconnect some other hoses to help bleed it. It is possible it is still not properly bled, I did however drive it around with the bleeder valve open for about a week, but still no difference. Thanks.
