  1. My passenger sunvisor lid isn't spung anymore. I would assume the spring got displaced, how can I open it and fix it???? Thanks the gf has to hold it up and I keep forgetting to ask how to fix.
  2. Well where the cables wanted to go was not feasable because it was at the end where the gussets are that don't allow them past. Is it possible that the opposite ends were adjusted? In any event I drove the car with the cables all the way maxed out closest to where they wanted to be and it is soooo much better. I actually enjoy the car again. It was so bad it wouldn't go into R most of the time or it would hop out
  3. Hey so I removed the b&M and then installed the oem with the adjustment tool It wanted more adjustment than the tabs at the bottom of the plastic would allow!!! I am rather perturbed needless to say. I have yet to drive the car but hopefully it will be better. I was having problems getting it into R and 6th
  4. so there is no way to modify the tool other than to take out the aftermarket shifter install the oem then adjust then remove and reinstall eh? well I guess it's a project for the weekend-
  5. Hey Loren you wouldn't happen to have the instructions that tell you how to use the shifter linkage adjustment tool? I am getting on next week to adjust my cables perfectly as they are still not right and I am sure that is the only thing that will suffice, btw it was 3 bucks!
  6. Not only can you only use gt3 fronts to mount them but the turbo setup is extremely heavy and any benefits you get will be erased by the weight plus it will mess with the unsprung weight. If you go this route look at the brembo kit that is super light- it's better and lighter-
  7. It would be cool to figure out how to enable this to work with just the regular seats if possible :)
  8. the clear side indicators come with yellow bulbs as the indicators are smoked, I just used the stock clear bulbs and it looks nice.
  9. I'd be warry about the unichip, I just read about it from someone on rennlist dyno'ing it and gettin 0 gains.
  10. how much did you pick up the pcm 2 for btw?
  11. Hey Loren would you happen to have a write up or an exerpt from the manual which states how and or where to set the cables for the shifter? I didn't mark them, but I did adjust them as best as I could, however I still suspect that they are not perfect- specifically the side to side cable. If you had a write up to note where to set that at it would be great, as well as one for the forward to back as well. Thanks Sean
  12. never heard of them do you have a link to check them out?
  13. Ok Talked to Gert the eur kits have the different rear hats, Nice! The only issue or difference then is the valving I guess as I hear. Anyone?
  14. I don't know if my post was deleted or if I didn't give it enough time before I closed the window, however I don't see it nor any replies. After inquiring further I have found that in fact the valving is different and of course the warranty is as well. The other issue that I encountered is the requrement of the rear billet adapters ala 993tt's. I guess they have that same problem eating the rubber mounts. Can anyone confirm any of this data? I am just trying to get a kit that I have no problems with and is as correct as possible, even if I have to pay more and wait longer.
  15. Hey Loren thanks for the link and part numbers. I just swapped it out in about 1h. I think it is running cooler a lot also! It sits at the 8 now just a hair after the real 180 mark!
  16. the gt3 ducts will fit, i am told there is no need to mod the fenderwells if used, I was going to get them before my accident. A friend has them and can say nothing but good things- Gert has them for pretty reasonable-
  17. I heard that the bolts are different and that the c4s has the same bolt pattern as a narrow body unfortunately so unless you mod the holes you would have to go aftermarket??? dunno just what I have heard
  18. oregon. You have to watch out for stuff on ebay without the bar code the heads are uselss and the boxter ones are different than the 99 996ers' Susnet is in oregon ask for jeff
  19. the head is 100 and the key with cut is another 50, the programming should be another 50- call sunset porsche
  20. has to do with the weight distiribution of a rear v. mid engine. If you check your caster and set it to gt3 spec that will give it that feel also-
  21. cool good to know then thanks as always
  22. never mind I check a pet pictorial and it showed the thermostat in a different location. oh well.
  23. Hey also Loren, is the thermostat in the bleed recepticle? I was curious about the possibility of being able to put a newer thermostat in as it appears that the newer ones let the engines run cooler not so much the cooling efficiency?
  24. Thanks Loren! I totally thought you had to drop the motor to replace the tank but it looks really really easy- easier than doing the third radiator for sure! I spoke to the dealer and he said that the larger tank will not fit in my year? Is the part number you listed not only the newer one but the one with the antislosh relocation? thanks again! sean
  25. Hey loren do you have the write up of replacing the coolant tank then? I just took my car into the dealer for some small things and surprise they wanted 500 bucks to do it! I would appreciate it as well as the part numbers for the best and newest tank and cap that will fit in my 99 996 c2 coupe. thanks.
