  1. I am reposting this to see if any one can help hello, I have a 2006 cayenne s ,Does anyone know if I can just replace the driver side fuel pump without having to replace them both? I just want to add that this cayenne s of mine has kicked my butt, It has 60k miles and I have replaced drive shaft, repaired cluster, cooling pipes and all coil packs. the latest problem that I have been having for the last four months is that it is jerking when you accelerate it and it has loss of power especially when you give it gas for a passing lane. I gave in and took it to the Porsche dealer and they charged $200. to tell me that it was the purge valve. instead of paying the $600 charge to replace the valve I decided to order it myself and do it myself for only $85. Well that wasn't the cause so I returned to the dealer and they checked it out again for free this time with the new diagnosis of the driver side fuel pump is not working and that I have been running on the secondary fuel pump all this time. They wanted $1600 to replace both but instead I purchased the complete kit for the driver side which they told me is the primary pump. I and going to replace the fuel pump it myself.
