Hi. I want to read out my 93c86 chip of my BoxsterS 986 facelift instrument cluster. I have TL866A programmer. Can sombody tell me if it is possible to read and write the chip with this programmer? I've changed my instrument cluster to a version with the better graphic dot matrix display but want to correct the mileage. Is it right the mileage is stored in lines 300&310 and 500&510 in a 2kb dump file? My thougt is to copy these lines to the new cluster. Any recommendation to use the programmer? I found a pdf instruction. The author recommend to short the crystal on the PCB. Am I right I dont need any power supply to the PCB? It is enough to connect the 93c86 with an IC clamp? Thanks

Installing cruise control and OBC stalks to my 2003 BosxterS Tiptronic with segment cluster. The OBC works great but with cruise control I have some questions. In PIWIS I only find a "Tempostat" entry in DME coding section. In the instrument cluster coding section I only find the OBC entry but no Tempostat entry. In DME I have changed to cruise control. When I switched on the ignition and push the cruise control button on the stalk nothing happens. Must the engine run and must the car driving to set cruise control? I can see the LED on the PCB of the instrument cluster.

If it is possible to change the 7 segment to dot matrix with soldering skills? With which ordering options Porsche installed the dot matrix? Only if you ordered OBC and/or PCM2? Why the 7 segment also is prepared for OBC? Was this option also awailable or never used? Therefore only for us enthusiast? 😜

When I enable the OBC I also want to enable cruise control. My instrument cluster doesn't have the Tempostat LED in the speedometer gauge. Is cruise contol possible without the LED?

I have successfully coded my Instrument cluster to OBC. I also have the 7 segment version. After coding I can't see any changes Do I need the stalk? I thougt the outside temperature is shown after coding. I also have coded PCM2/CDR23 to enable because my car has CDR23 with Bose from factory installed. Does the entry has any impact?

Thank You very much. However, this is not a backup of my devices or is it possible to play this setup back into the ECUs later in case coding failed.

Noob question of Piwis. How can I save my coding of the ECUs? I was in DME unit and want to save the coding. The system confirmed thats it is saved. But where I can find the file? Is it possible to export this file?

Hi. Searching for the "order code" of a 2003 Boxster S Tiptronic LHD RoW (German Version). Is it also 986320? Is there a overview or list of all order codes?
