  1. Hi today the PSM Failure workshop with the picture of its symbol came out and the car is "heavy" when accelerating, even with my foot all the way down the car wouldnt accelerate the way it should, it feels like i am towing a huge motorhome. i am not sure it has something to do with this but i recently had my Alternator replaced, which to be honest the guy didnt to a good job. the car wasnt the same after that, specially electrical parts like locking, windows, engine start (i have to swing the key left and right a few times in order to get the panel light to turn on). and when he replaced the alternator, the day i got the car, driving home the belt snapped and belt tensioner broke (either it was already broken or he broke when he replaced the alternator). any thoughts on why i am losing power? thanks
  2. I had the alternator on my 2003 Cayenne S replaced and 10 miles after i got out of the shop the temp went all the way up and water leaked, lost power steering and lights in the panel went dead, battery light said "emergency battery" was on. Called the mechanic, he came over and told me the serpentine belt and hydraulic belt tensioner broke. can this be caused by the replacement of the alternator? i mean do they have, in some ways, to remove or touch the belts? should i tell him it has to be fixed for free? Thanks
