  1. If you like it, buy it. Don't worry about resale.

Grey tops (I think the 2007 997 color was called Stone Grey) are no longer offered on the 991 series 911 cabriolets, if that's of any interest to you. Only black, blue, red and brown now.

As for cleaning, care and maintenance, buy Ragg Topp cleaner & protectant. Do this process every other year. Works great. Their parent company, Wolfstein, is the OE supplier to Porsche.

  2. It's the optional Bose@ Audio Package ($2120 extra). It's a little lame.

Other than that, the car has been a joy to own.

PDK (Yes, and my first automatic)

    Sport Exhaust (check)

Power Sport Seats (check) with Premium Package Plus (check)

    Door-Sill Guards, Illuminated (check)

    check, check, and check.

I have the Bose on my 2014 C2S PowerKit. It's just fine. The PSE sounds better!:)

Several guys on Rennlist have replaced the Bose front tweeters with the Burmester tweeters. Not super expensive. And a DIY for a decent car guy with some minimal skills. They all report a significant improvement to the Bose sound.

  3. OK thanks guys. I posted a similar note on rennlist and the replies was this is a feature for European Porsches (I'm in Australia but we get the UK variety here) when parking on a small street and the car is close to the traffic having one side of the parking lights on provides a warning to other drivers. Would have never have thought of that.

This is correct and 100% normal. And this is what it sounds like your car is doing, other than the, "and won't turn off until I restart the car and turn off the indicator", part. You should be able to turn off this feature by turning off your indicator without having to restart the car.

  4. Thanks everyone for the input.

The car was totaled approx 5 months ago; that was an awesome 996 and had some great memories; she had approx 176K miles on original engine and still ran strong to the day.

I did purchase a 2010 Porsche Panamera turbo and getting adjusted to the new ride.

    Nice 4 door turbo 911.:)

  5. I drove a customer ordered Boxster S from 2006 till 2013. Had about 60,000 miles on it when I sold it to my neighbor down the street. In 2009 I bought a 1997 993 Turbo with 32,000 miles. Drove it for 4 years and 40,000 miles and sold it in 2013 for 50% more than I paid for it!!! It now lives in Poland with it's very happy new owner.

Took the proceeds of both sales, and bought the 430 HP 991S. Very happy. And very happy to have owned the 987 and 993 in the past.

  6.

Very nice! Enjoy. The 991 GTS is one hell of a bundled package. I love my 2014 C2S PowerKit Cabriolet. I'll turn 20,000 today going to Road America for the IMS and Tudor races.

    20,000! Nice!

This car was loaded up. Full leather. 18-Way seats. The works. I was all set to buy a 2013 C2S, but then saw this one.

I custom ordered my car in September 2013. Took delivery in early March 2014. Car is stored mid-October till mid-March in my heated garage. I only get out on sunny weekends, but I do get my miles in! Did 1,500 miles this past June during my trip to Porsche Parade.
