  1. I have a 2002 cab that had pirelli assymetricos that I didn't care for at all. I changed them out for the RE050 pole position and love them .. Quieter, smoother and outstanding grip wet or dry. Haven't had them long enough to comment on wear but shoudld at least match the pirellis. Happy shopping.
  2. I currently have the Bridgestone Re050A on my C4S and are the best I have ever put on my Porsche. A friend who is a tire service tech for GY did some calculating and promised these are the best for my car and driving. He was right and these are the best I've had. Second was Yokohama AVS Sports and the absolute worse tire is Kumho I only had on for about 2k miles. I hated the Perilliies because of wear and noise issues but handled alright. What ever you do, don't go the Kumho route because it will cost you again and you will hate them and feel unsafe riding with them.
  3. Loren, For anyone's info that's in the same boat as me.....Took it to the dealer today and for $30 they pulled both codes. In retrospect, I should have had it done preemptively when it was in for other services previously.
  4. Loren, I've got an OEM radio/nav unit in a 2002 carrera (PCM 1?). Bought used and w/o radio code. Model is BE2582 and ser#15009414. KW: 26/01. Can you run this through your magic formula for me? Is a separate code needed for the nav unit? Thanks for your help. John
  5. Bought a used 2002 Carrera with the OEM radio/nav unit but without the code. What info is needed for the code lookup and where is it found? Thanks in advance for any help.
  6. need part number for rubber lip in front of right front tire. looks like an air scoop to radiator or deflector for water off front of tire. Anyone know how to get back to the oem parts catalog that was has disappeared? thanks for any help
  7. Make sure all the brake lights work and are of the OEM specified incandescent type including the high mounted one(s). When I put a led light in the high mount light the cruise would not work until I added a load resistor. Thank you, I'll double check all that.
  8. 2002 996 cab w/26000 miles. Green indicator will light in dash when stalk button depressed but none of the functions on the stalk will work. Any ideas?
  9. Got the green indicator to come on by adding a plastic spacer against the plunger. None of the stalk functions will work however. Any other ideas?
  10. thanks guys! Green cc indicator comes on when ignition first turned on but when car is started it goes out and won't come on when button on stalk is pressed. no functions on the stalk work. all brake lights are working. I have swapped fuses. is the plunger that was mentioned, on the brake or clutch pedal, or elsewhere? thanks for the feedback
  11. cruise control worked but now does not . fuse is good. any ideas or points to check? thanks, john
