So i have two torn FRONT rear lower control arm bushings....so i've got some options: 1. Replace the bushing with the turbo "hydraulic" bushing 2. Replace the bushing with the turbo s "solid rubber" bushing 3. Replace the entire arm with the stock turbo arm 4. Replace the entire arm with the turbo S arm The ball joints feel tight still, so it's hard for me to justify replacing the full arms considering the bushings are <30 bucks.....vs. hundreds for arms. The other wild card are the "OEM" kits on ebay these days.....i've put out some feelers to see who makes/reconditions these arms, but they are SIGNIFICANTLY less....so low that i could buy a set for 150 bucks, find out they're crap....and go and buy the OEM bushings.... Any help would be helpful.....my natural inclination is to upgrade upgrade upgrade.....but the hydro ones would probably work for the next 100k as well. -
Hey, so im still a relatively new member hear and looking to contribute within the next month hopefully once i get my car finally registered and everything.I bought a 99 porsche boxster a few months ago and have fixed majority of the car problems by myself and looking to replace the fuel filter before christmas. Now for my problem at hand so i can finally get it registered and tagged. When i was home for thanksgiving working on it i started going through fuses to fix several problems and found that the horn fuse was missing. So i put it in and the horn started going off like crazy so i removed the fuse again. I researched it and i believe its the bushings in the steering wheel and i have found many topics related to it but have not found any that cover how to diy fix the bushings. All the forums i find with links on how to fix it are closed links. If someone could help it would be greatly appreciated. Cause ive been having to walk to work and get rides for the past month untill i can get this car registered :/
