Key Battery

Recommended Posts

Hello all:

I just recently replaced my key battery (2032) and for some reason the red light goes off but the key is not functioning. I called the dealership and they explained that by inserting the key in the ignition it should reactivate the key, yet when I did it did not work. Is there a programming code to reactivate the key. I should also mention that the dealership said that it could be a bad fuse inside the casing. I did explain that the key is less than a year old. Is there a way of correcting this problem?

Thanks in advance!!!!

try putting it in the ignition, turning the key but not the car, and then within 6 seconds push one of the buttons,

or you can put it in the ignition, turn the key, and when all the lights light up, push one of the buttons while the key is still in there

hope that helps
