Does anyone have any experience of having the SIM Card break on a Cayenne PCM unit?

According to Porsche the whole unit needs replacing even though the only thing wrong with the unit is the SIM card drawer being stuck in.

Any info gratefully received, especially if anyone knows an audio company in the UK who might be able to fix the PCM.
