Has anyone installed the exhaust from awe…. I am considering this exhaust upgrade!! I am wanting a more aggressive sound.. as well as a performance boost.

Thank you

Good question. I'm also considering the AWE exhaust upgrade after listening to the Fabspeed and other sounds on the internet. I'd like to know if this upgrade reduces the (small) turbo lag that still comes in the 997TT. And, does it just bolt on with no other mods necessary with no down side? Does the sound inside the cabin increase noticeably?

Anyone out there with the 997TT AWE exhaust upgrade that can speak from experience?

Thanks.

Here is some more info re outside & inside sound. I wish there was a good video of the stock exhaust sound, at various rpm, to compare these with.

The sound, at least from these recordings, seems a bit deeper (I like a rumble), not too loud, and a nice howl when you step on it. Still, the Fabspeed has a similar sound, although it seems a bit louder with more of a gurgle when idling. It's hard to decide without a good quality stock exhaust set up as a basis for comparison.

Update. I had a chance to actually listen to a couple at my tuners and decided on the AWE. A quality product with a fairly aggressive sound but not over the top for us "older" drivers.
