Hello all,

I am a new owner of a 97 C4S( two whole days now)and want to know what bulbs fellow 993 owners are using in their halogen headlights.

Are there any bulbs which are brighter, whiter light than stock? Pros and cons of using such bulbs if any?

Do the Litronic headlights use the exact same housing as the halogen? Are the ballasts etc. in the housing? I am assuming that it is not a simple matter of inserting the Litronics into the car( Pardon the question if it is stupid)?

Thanks in advance!

Hey roybite,

I've got a '96 993 Carrera with standard headlights and I'm running PIAA extreme white H1 bulbs in both the high and low beams. I've also got PIAA extreme white plus H3 bulbs in the fog lamps. They are a definite improvement over the regular bulbs, but aren't anything like the Litronics. However, the litronics will set you back about $2,800, so I think I'll stick with the PIAA's for now. :-)

Hope this helps,

Mark
