About To Swap Litronic In My 996 Help!

i just both a pair of litronic headlamps from a 2001 boxter...now in my 996 c2 2000 it seams that there s a plug missing for the xenons ????? is it normaly there?

You are missing the control unit. From the unit there is a wiring harness to each headlight with a plug on the end. This plug goes into the side of the headlight.

i know that the headlamps are all assembly (lights ballas ect)... there s the usual plug on the side,,, and the one missing is the one going in the ballas, so that the one for the control unit ?

This is the control unit. There is a 4 wire cable that goes to each headlight. There is a connector on each cable. In the picture the connectors are in the middle because they have not yet been put on. When you select the high beams the control unit moves the xenon low beam up a few degrees to fill in with the halogen high beam.

The headlights will work fine without the control unit.
