996 2002 car with PCM1 Sat Nav. Recent purchases and put disc supplied into unit (2002.1 uk and Ireland). The system will not go past Initialization stage and the disc will not eject now. The 2 yellow lights below the disc eject button flash whenever the car ignition is on.

Can any one help.

Thanks

Hi

I'm not sure if it helps, but I had the same thing with a DVD disc in PCM1 on a 2000 996. Took Porsche Guildford about 2 hours to free the DVD - apparently they sometimes get jammed in the mechanism, although the service manager tried to tell me I had inserted the DVD in the gap between the unit and the fascia "by mistake". I politely suggested I wasn't *that* dumb, and although PCM is not on the warranty, as I had only bought the car off them 2 days earlier, they didn't charge me.

Thanks for the info.

Just wonder how they got it out. Did the remove the ficia of the unit poke it out or was it much more scientific than that.

Thanks
