seeking DIY instructions/torques for PSS9 install on C4S

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I'm hoping to install a set of PSS9's on my (new to me) 996 C4S this weekend. It appears that height adjustment is the only solution to a couple of issues that turned up during a recent alignment inspection. I usually replace the suspensions on my cars myself, then go back to the shop for the final height setting, alignment, and corner weighting.

I've searched all over the forums looking for detailed pics/tips about the install, but can't seem to come up with very much detail. I'm sure I just don't know where to look, or how to use the search properly. I did find a few web-photographs of a PSS9 install on a 996 C2, but not quite enough to get a sense for the best procedure to follow. Also, and probably most importantly, I'd really like to know the correct torque values of all bolts & nuts that may be undone or loosened in the process, as well as pointers to any nuts or parts that may need replacement, once removed. I suppose a technical service manual would have most of the required information, but a complete manual is quite expensive!

If any kind souls on this forum happen to have the information, a pointer to a DIY, or have done the project themselves, I would be very grateful for your knowledge! :)

Thanks!
