Coil packs failing on 2004 Cayenne S

Recommended Posts

Could really do with some help with a problem i have with my CS.

I had a coil fail on cylinder 2 which was replaced under warranty. A few months later i had 2 other coils failing so i had them all replaced at the same time.

Now i have the same problem...another coil going.

Clearly there is something which is causing these to fail so can anyone give me any clues as to what could be causing this as its false economy to keep replacing them every few months.

It used to they would change them all under warranty along with the plugs, this is no longer the case Porsche are trying to make money and wil only change them now on an error code and only the one that failed.

That said there is a shop instruction to replace all if their part numbers and your vin number are in the right range.

Part number of current best ones ends in 003.

But a set and change them all save yourself some anguish

But what is causing the new coils to fail after 3 months?

Check the part numbers
