Hi everyone.

I had the Porsche Sport Exhaust installed in 2005 with the optional switch to override the "sport" sound. I did the mod to eliminate the automatic speed control of the exhaust at that time. Up until the last few days everything was working just fine.

Now I notice the switch to "quiet" the exhaust doesn't work. It's on "sport" all the time. Normally I drive the car on "sport" sound almost all the time, but once in a while I like the option of setting it on "quiet" mode. It's not the end of the world if I don't get it fixed but my "significant other" may feel otherwise (no, ear plugs for her are NOT an option!).

Any thoughts or comments as to what the problem might be? What should I be doing to diagnose the problem?

Thanks in advance!

Does the light in the switch come on? If so it would indicate that the switch and relay are still working. check the vacumm lines where they T off the main, at the resivior tank, at the little vacumm switch, etc., If there is a disconnected line or a leak this would prevent the system from closing off the by-pass at the cans.

Yes, the light still works. I will look into the vaccuum lines and see if they are OK. The engine and transmission were taken out the other day by the Porsche dealership to fix the notorious RMS issue. Perhaps they didn't connect them again????
