I'm looking into a few cars to replace my current BMW 325iX. What are the running/maintenance costs for an 89-94 911 hardtop. Unless it's something like a full transmission rebuild all maintenance would be done by me in my garage. What's the best model to look for? What are some things that I should watch out for buying one? I'd be looking to spend somewhere between 10-12 thousand, which eliminates a lot of potential cars. Should high miles be worrying, because I know these cars are pretty tough. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
