Problem closing storage bin between seats

I have a 2003 C2 Cabriolet. Recently I have been having difficulty getting the cover on the storage bin between the seats to remain shut.

Does anyone have a recommendation on what to do?

If this needs to be repaired will it be covered under warranty?

I don't know about 03, but in 02 the hinges on the storage bin were plastic, and could easily be warped, twisted, or broken. I believe this is a warranty fix where they replace the plastic with metal hinges.

That's the only problem I'm aware of on the storage bin cover
