MP3 and WMA files on CD-R (show track info on PCM)

Recommended Posts

My PCM (06 Cayenne) will play a CD-R burnt with both MP3 and WMA files with no problems, but does not show the track information/ ID3 tags on the screen (i.e. just says Track 1, 2, 3 etc.). I know the ID3 tags are working, because the same files show the track details on my MP3 player. Do the files have to be burnt in a specific way on the CD-R for this to work? Does mixing MP3 and WMA files on the same disc make any difference?

I know you can also set up folders on the CD-R, which I haven't tried yet. I also used Windows Media Player to burn the CD-R, which may be the problem.

Let me know if anyone has had the same problem and found a solution.

It depends on the program your using to burn the cd

Nero works

Thanks - are there any particular settings in Nero that I need to use to show the track information on the PCM screen? Can I also mix MP3 and WMA files on the same CD-R?
