I need a sparkplug tube puller

Does anyone out there have a sparkplug tube puller? I have one leaky tube in my 2001 Boxster S, and I'd like to borrow or rent a puller. I'm very good about returning things, and I'll certainly pay for shipment both ways.

You need a special tool to get the tube out on an 01? Really? On the 04, it will just pull out when you pull the coil pack off. And if it stuck for some reason, I would just use needle nose pliers to pull it out, especially if I know the tube is bad. But like I say, maybe the 01 is different.

According to Pedros website you can buy a 1 inch marine drain plug at West Marine for 6 bucks to pull the tubes out

No special tool needed. However, the boat drain plug didn't work for me as my tubes seemed welded in place. I ended up fashioning my own, very simple tool, which consisted of an 8" long carriage bolt with a large washer at the end secured by nuts on both sides. I inserted the carriage bolt into the spark plug hole and used the washer to "grab" the end of the plastic tube to yank it out.

The leaking plastic tubes are part of the earlier cylinder head design (MY02 and older) ROW MY03 should have the newer design cylinder heads with steel (non leaking) tubes, and a different approach to get them out if needed, with emphasis on "if".
