Hi,

I bought a 84 Targa last week. I have some problems and questions. I am trying to catch up by reading the forums and user manual of the car but I had to find some answers since the car is at the mechanic and I have to finish the works asap.

1) The fuel pump is tested and it shows 2.2 bars. The mechanic says that it is too low. What would be the result is this is too low?

2) The gear change into 2nd is almost impossible at high revs. It is a bit hard at low revs. What should I buy?

3) When I start the car, the fuel pressure gauge goes upto 5 bar region, but it works downwards. At the idle, it shows about 4 or a bit lower. When the rev goes up, the gauge goes down.

4) Speedometer and odometer doesnt work. What would be the reason? Where should I check?

5) This is long term question.. The car doesnt have an AC system. Can I install one? What product do you suggest?
