relocating window switches

Recommended Posts

I want to put a stereo control know in the rear center console by the emergeny brake and was going to move the window switches to the center dash. Has anyone done this. I removed some of the console last week working on another project and it looked like the wires ran toward the front of the dash so I assume there would be plenty of wiring to do this. Just need to remove the shifter so I can get the cabling out and move it up under the dash.

Anyone?

I have added switches to the center stack, but have not moved window switches. It would be easy enough to extend the wiring even if there is not enough in the original wire harness.

The switches also will mount neatly in a 2 or 4 holer batwing available for cheap from Suncoast and prob'ly Sunset.

There is also a blank batwing for < $7.00 that would be great for any custom stereo controls. I put my radar detector remote in one. With its mute button right by my knee.
