PSM & ABS failure after accident

Recommended Posts

Hello everybody! I start my posts with bad news :(

I recently had accident and the airbags deployed but I also have an abs and psm failure according to my dealer the problem is on the steering angle sensor but they are not sure :o

Replacing the contact unit behind the steering wheel this might fix the problem or not? is the contact unit connected with the steering angle sensor by anyway?

Thanks!

If the dealer is guessing at the repair then I would recommend you find another dealer. Has the accident damage been repaired and you still have this fault? Was the angle sensor re-calibrated after the repair?

unfortunately we have only one service dealer here. Anyway I hope after replacing the contact unit and re-calibrating the angle sensor the psm will work  because for now they are searching for the problem (3 days now) :o
