Keyless Entry not working

Recommended Posts

Does anybody have an aftermarket keyless entry system on their car?

Went through this same situation 3 years ago, and ended up buying a new key fob from Sunset and getting it reprogrammed by the dealer. Waste of good money.

For two years now, one of my key fob was not working. In the last week, the second went and lost its ability to lock or unlock. It's a pain. Do I need new keys?

there are several things you can try:

1. change the battery

2. reset the fob by installing the battery reverse polarity for 15 seconds and then re-installing correctly

3. get a PIWIS or PST2 and reprogram the FOB...

Thanks Wross. The batteries are new, tried polarity reset. No luck. I guess the dealer is my next choice. I have been going to Stevinson Imports on Broadway. Any independent shops you would recommend in Denver? Thanks.

Haa...just replied on the other thread. YES go to Orin at Eurosport Ltd. in Lakewood. He knows his sh*t and is very reasonable...I left the number in my other post. BTW, Stevinson is the only dealer I would use in Denver area (see Justin or Chance)
