Proper Launch with PDK

I have a 997.2 S PDK. Please help me figure out the best launch configuration. Here is what I do now.

1. Select Sport plus, select Drive, TURN OFF PSM, TURN OFF PASM.

I have been told to TURN ON PSM but when I do it shudders a bit because the get a strong bite from the pavement. I also TURN OFF PASM so the car can squat a bit and "dig in".

Am I doing this correctly?

Do not turn off PSM. Leave the PSM button alone (unlit).

- Turn Sport Plus ON

- PDK in D

- Left foot on brake

- Floor the throttle past the kick-down switch and leave it there

- The tach should show a steady 6500RPM [and may flash 'Launch Control' (I forgot)]

- Release the brake and hold on

Do make sure you do this in a safe area with zero traffic or people around and a reasonable straight-line in front of you with space to stop.

I have Launch control in my car and have no plans to use it. I own the car and I do not care about drag strip launches. :)
