Speedline Alesio or Kinesis Cup for 997-1 and other general questions

Recommended Posts

Hello All

Just doing my homework and research while I wait until I stumble across my perfect 911.

Do the modular 3 piece rims such as speedline or kinesis fit on the 997? I have not seen one with them so I am assuming the answer is no. I am pretty old school and I like the look, but I am not sure about fittment.

Also, for my first Porsche, is the standard Carrera adequate or should I really go for an "S."

Are the rotors on the S and non-S models identical in diameter or are the rotors bigger on the S? I believe that the S rotors are somewhat larger and identical front to rear, the calipers are slightly bigger and painted red. Any other differences? Possible retrofit project in the future since the rotors get changed with the pads anyway?

As for the X51 airbox--has anyone retrofitted it to a non-powerkit Carrera or Carrera S?

Manheim data for 2005-2008 Carrera or Carrera S Coupes--does anyone have this?

Finally, how much is the value of a car lowered if it has multiple (ie more than one or two owners)? I am assuming there is no firm percentage.

Thanks a bunch

Fat Louis
