"Clicking" Noise

Recently noticed during initial warm-up: After the engine fast-idle has come down to normal, and the transmission has moved from it's first gear warm-up into the second gear default, I've noticed that there is a "clicking" noise that starts at 12 mph and goes until 18 mph. This noise is coming (it seems) from under the center console area, and it only occurs when the vehicle is "cold" from initial start-up. Once the car is warm, this noise is never heard again. The noise does not get louder as the vehicle speed increases, but the clicking tempo does increase as the speed builds. It's only between 12 and 18 mph that I notice this and there are no abnormal vibrations, lights, or other indications noted. There is no stumbling from the engine or driveline. Again, this is happening when the system is cold, but the trasmission has moved into it's default second gear launch mode. :huh:
