Remove rear wing

anyone know how difficult this one would be to remove? I like the looks of the car but imho the tail is super ugly. i would want to replace with a grill. wheels aren't my fav either but i know how the fix that.

That's the Mk1 aerokit wing or a replica. You would have to replace the rear lid altogether, the stock one includes a retractable spoiler. You would also probably need a different wiring harness as they are specific to fixed or retractable wing/spoiler.

For what it's worth that's a pretty desirable wing, I looked for mine for a long while and love how it looks. especially with the full aerokit which you seem to have.

Actually not my car, just one I saw on eBay. I like the looks of the rest of the aero kit, just not that rear wing. I was just curious if that can be easily removed and replaced with a grill.

Loren pointed out to me that if you change the rear wing then you need to change the front spoiler too. They work together to provide additional down force at speed.

Dude, how fast are you intending on driving? surely up to 100mph or so it wouldnt really make much difference to you?
