Cayenne S Air Con Problems

Recommended Posts

I just gave my car to Porsche for a service and they come back to me and told me that the air con gase needs doing.

They then said it would cost £200 so I laughed down the phone and told them I can get it done for £100.

Surprise surprise they called me back and told me they would do it for £100.

A few hours later they called me to say the a/c dont work and am i aware of this.

It was cold but not as cold as previous cars i have had hence the gas need filling.

Apparently the air sensor is stuck on 2 degrees and the a/c wont switch on untill 5 degrees and this sensor is

behind the dashboard and will take 3 hours to change which is £135 ph labour charge.

Now I have the car back I switched on the a/c and its nothing like it was so im thinking its them that broke it, am I

being unreasonable?

Where is this sensor?

There are several "air sensors" included in the system, mostly behind the dash. Let the system read out with a diagnostic tool, otherwise it's guessing.
