Pcm/nav Upgrade Gone Bad - Cutoff Protection Temperature Pcm

Recommended Posts

Just completed my PCM/Navi upgrade and I am having an issue. The PCM is #997.642.103.11 and the Navi is # 997.642.157.01, I have do have Bose and also have Nav-TV for Sirius, Bluetooth and Ipod installed. Everything works perfectly until I plug in the Nav unit. On initial power up it seems normal and is seeking the Nav DVD. After a few minutes the display shows "cut off protection temperature pcm" and then shuts down. If I remove the Nav Drive from the system all is normal (except for the missing Nav unit error). If I plug the Nav drive in again the above repeats it self.

Any suggestions?

BAT

Thank you for the link, I did do a search and that was not one of the results. Based on my research I had suspected it was a map version issue but I did not think to reset the PCM, certainly that is my next step.

Thanks again,

BAT
