We were at the dealership today to look at some 911's. Time for us to get rid of our M5. When the salesman saw our CTT he was amazed that it did not come with Alcantara headliner. He says it comes standard. We had a peak at all the other CTT and they all had it. I had the VIN ran for option codes and it shows up as a deletion. I found this to be odd. Does anyone else have a CTT without Alcantara? After being in one with it I feel gypped. Anyone had thier upgraded to Alcantara or similiar material? It looks real nice inside, very luxurious.

I have an '04 CTT w/o alcantara that originally was purchased in Michigan and feel gypped the same way you do, especially after hearing from you it was deleted. My friend has a black CTT with the wood interior trim and alcantara and I really like it. Upgrading would seem like an uneconomical solution. My headliner is a light bluish-gray material like polyester.

Sorry I should have been more specific, US models did not come with it. ROW did

I shopped for my CTT for about 6 months. Looking at literally hundreds of them online and in person. Very very few have the cloth headliner and not alcantara. I was also mostly looking at 04 too since they would float to the top of the searches due to price.

  • 1 month later...

So several years ago I made a Micro Suede headliner for a classic Chevy truck I built.

I had a fair amount of the material left and figured I would try it out in the CTT. I only had enough to do the rear section. When I have some more time I will pull the entire headliner out and do it. Should look pretty close to the Alcantara and will only run me about $100 in material. (the non alcantara was driving me nuts).

Couple of minor flaws in it. Obviously I only have the rear section done right now. Not bad for stuff I had laying around from other projects.
