I have been enjoying my used 2006 Turbo S. It has 21 inch Porsche rims with Continental tires. The rims have some curb scratches on the edges. As anyone ever had their rims refinished? If so what is the range of cost?

Thanks,

John

Mine are going into Woody's Wheel works in Denver, CO. Full refinish and powdercoat is $125, plus another $25 to mount and rebalance the tires. This is per tim.

They can handle minor fixes for half this cost, and they'll do their best to blend the finish. I opted to have it done right, and finish the entire surface.

Agree with the price for a full refinish. If you have a polished rim and the damage is minor you can also have a mobile repair guy come to your home or office.

I have a guy I use here in L.A. who does excellent work. I just had him come and touch up some small blemishes (on 3 wheels) on my 997 Turbo (stock wheels.) He charged me $100 bucks. Such a deal and they look perfect.

If you have substatial gouges then you have to send them out..

Ask your dealer for a recommendation.

I had the wheels on my C4S refinished for $50 each by a mobile refinisher. He brought a trailer to my house with a full down draft painting station. He got all four of them done in about 1-1/2 hours, and they look great. Here are before and after photos of my left front wheel.
