2004 Turbo - programming garage door

Recommended Posts

Hi,

Has anyone managed to use the overhead controls (next to the sunroof controls) to programme it for use as an r/c for their garage door, in particular, the Chamberlain?

Have followed the manual and it hasn't worked, althought the LED flashed as suggested in the manual. Might be that my opener doesn't have a fixed code so I may need to follow the next section in the booklet but thought I'd quickly ask the question on the forum...

Thanks!

Neil.

Super advice. Thanks for the link. I too was having issues with this. I think this is much easier then the manual explains it. I also noticed that you have to hold the Porsche garage door opener button for like 2 seconds for it to send the signal. Works perfect. Thanks.

Hi Guys. The key with this is to complete both steps. Be sure to make the button in the car recognize the remote control THEN go up the ladder press the ID button and run back to the car and press the button you're programming (you have 30 sec or so to do this depending on the manufacturer)...you need to go back and press the ID button 2 more times (a total of 3 trips up the ladder) before the button

will recognize the ceiling unit. Each time you head back to the car and press the button - you should notice the light on the ceiling unit blink or light turning off. Set all three doors this morning.

Good luck!
